Hi! My name is Matthew Hua, and I am passionate about improving the lives of animals. Ever since I was young, I have had a deep love for animals and a desire to help those in need. Some of my favorite memories include caring for an injured hummingbird that had broken its wing outside my bedroom window and making regular donations of blankets and towels to the Pasadena Humane Society. I joined Paws for Skid Row because I believe every animal deserves comfort, care, and compassion, regardless of its circumstances. Through this organization, I hope to help support underprivileged animals throughout Los Angeles and make a meaningful difference in their lives. Outside of animal welfare, I enjoy playing viola in my high school's symphony orchestra and competing on my school's cross-country team. In the future, I hope to attend Stanford University and continue making a positive impact in my community where I will study economics.

Hi! My name is Izaac Rodriguez, and I am the founder of Paws for Skid Row. My passion for helping animals was inspired by my father and stepmother, who taught me to care for animals with compassion and respect. After witnessing the challenges faced by animals throughout Los Angeles, particularly those belonging to unhoused individuals on Skid Row who had limited access to food, veterinary care, and other resources, I felt motivated to make a difference. Through Paws for Skid Row, I work to support animals in need through community outreach, supply drives, and partnerships with local shelters and nonprofits. Beyond my commitment to animal welfare, I am a student with aspirations of studying business and attending Harvey Mudd College for XC/track and field, where I hope to continue developing the skills needed to create positive change in my community and beyond.

Hi! My name is Rowan Ghosh, and I have been passionate about animal welfare for as long as I can remember. Growing up with rescued dogs, cats, and even a fish taught me the importance of compassion, responsibility, and providing animals with the care they deserve. These experiences inspired my commitment to helping animals find safe, loving environments and receive the support they need to thrive. Through Paws for Skid Row and our partnerships with local nonprofits and animal organizations, I hope to help provide aid, supplies, and resources to animals in need throughout Los Angeles. Looking ahead, I hope to study physics at UCLA while continuing to serve my community and advocate for animal welfare.
